What a way to finish the 2018 crossfit open. Last year I was only able to RX parts of each workout but this year....this year I RX’d them all!! There were certainly movements that showed my weaknesses and places to improve and get better, but man did it also show how I’ve become stronger and better and faster. And that’s exactly what I wanted it to do. I may not be the strongest and fastest and most skilled, but I have heart and I will push myself every single time. I will slowly chip away at being a better athlete, even if my progress is slower than others. I will love my effort along the way and celebrate what this 36 yo body can do.
Last year’s thrusters were h e a v y and I could only do little sets. This year felt fluid and strong and to me, that’s a win. Here’s to all the athletes no matter where you are at, scaled, rx, or competitor. Thanks for showing up and doing work
