Rudy asked what Freddie’s reaction to everything that happened in South America was.
Quite topical as I have just returned from Mexico where one of the less happy incidents happened. Freddie’s reaction, like the rest of the band, was one of feeling like they were in the middle of an adventure, which it was, as they were the first major rock band to to stadiums around South America. No-one was exactly sure of how things were going to happen, but they were there to entertain which is what they did. There was quite a lot of nervous laughter, particularly when they were escorted by the army in Argentina, and also some fear when they were the targets of some projectiles from the crowd in Puebla. Overall there was a great feeling of having accomplished some wonderful shows and being immersed in the atmosphere of the crowds. When looking back from the safety of home Freddie was able to feel proud of the bands achievement.
