When it comes to all time duos we have so many to choose from, in so many categories. Salt and Pepper, Yin and Yang, Black and White, Shaq and Kobe, the list really could go on.
In this case however we have the delectable duo of fish and chips. But let’s be honest we’re only here for those wonderful morsels of potatoey goodness and finding out whether or not they make it or break it.
For this weeks serving we head away from Brisbane CBD and out to Manly West to taste some of the food on offer at The Fish Depot (sorry no instagram acc to tag)
Crunchiness- 3/10 a little undercooked probably since it was quite busy at that time of night. Few more minutes cook time would have fixed this up.
Fluffiness- 7/10 Smooth white fluffy potato on the inside always goes down a treat.
Greasiness- 3/10 probably related to how busy things were at the shop but the chips could also have benefit with a few more minutes drying off as well.
Seasoning-3/10 easily the saltiest chips tasted so far. A little too overbearing.
Overall- 4/10 could have been a lot better chip wise. Goes to show the fine line between cooked and underdone. Remember this is only a review of the chips. The rest of the food was delicious just chip wise it was a let down.
Be sure to keep an eye out as I, the @brisbanechipadvisor will be taking my skills abroad over the Christmas break and I’ll be sure to sneak in the customary festive chip or 20.
