One of the greatest things about this MC life is the values placed on traditional concepts of respect and manliness. We are modern day relics, who still believe in looking a man in the eye and extending a hand for an introduction.
The problem is, when when you run into those individuals with a legitimate belief that because of the club they’re in, or even that they’re in a club at all, that they’re somehow above shaking someone’s hand.
That guy you just turned your back on, because he wasn’t in colors... that might be your local 1%er. That dude without a cut at the bar who you sat next to, but ignored... you don’t know it yet, but he’s overhearing you talk shit about his brothers on the other side of the bar. That guy in a cage that pulled over to help you when you were down on the side of the road, and you blew him off because you were in a bad mood... that’s the president of the dominant club, on his way home from work.
How much time does a handshake cost you? What do you stand to lose in comparison to the potential gain? We are men first, aren’t we?
Before you act like you’re too good to shake someone’s hand, have yourself a nice serving of humble pie and be a man.
I’ll see you at your local watering hole, but without a handshake, you might not see me. -Redleg, that 1%er who shows up slick back, just to see who’s paying attention.
