It's official, the last car payment went out on Saturday, and now we are DEBT FREE!!! 9.5 months on baby step 2, and we paid off almost $25,000 of credit cards and car loan debt!
We lived on one full time income, and both my husband and I had side hustles to bring in extra cash. During this journey we both planted seeds for future career growth and success, and even within these short few months we saw amazing results.
My husband's side hustle grew into a new full time job opportunity. I have developed new skills and relashionships through my babysitting side gig. Also I am starting my own business helping people achieve financial independence, and hoping to make that my full time career as our kids get older.
__________________________ As we continue growing our income, we plan to stay frugal and save more. Of course we will probably allow a bit more spending on kids activities, entertainment and vacations. But we will continue budgeting, and giving every dollar a job, instead of wondering where all the money went. We will also increase our giving, as it is an important part of our budget now. ,
We have learned a lot through this journey, but there are still areas we struggle with. Even things like making the budget on time and keeping regular budget meetings. but it's all about #progressnotperfection .so we will continue our journey, one Baby Step at a time.
Thank you, everyone who have been cheering us on ! #debtfreecommunity is the best!
