Vacay Recap - Day 4: Day at Sea **swipe to see the stages of cruise food gluttony** I don’t even have food pictures of today. Let’s just say there was a ton of over eating from various buffets. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good, but I didn’t think it worthy enough for me to take pictures of it. (In hindsight, that should have been an indicator that it wasn’t important enough to over do it, but I kinda did.) If you’ve never been on a cruise, you’d be stunned with the sheer amount of food that is available and that is mostly all inclusive. There was a huge buffet on the top floor that was open nearly all day. Rows and rows of stations — salads, American food (soups, pasta, pizza, burgers, hotdogs, fries, etc.) chinese food, ramen, Indian food, BBQ, and of course dessert. Some stations even repeated themselves to accommodate the huge number of guests.
So although I had intended to follow 2B Mindset Plate it, a lot of extra bites of things started happening. Also, it was super crowded and loud in there. I actually felt myself getting frantic looking at all the people racing to get more and more food. I kind of felt like I had to keep up or grab stuff so I wouldn’t miss out. I know, silly but seriously that’s how I felt.
In any event, we ate a lot at the buffets in the beginning just out of convenience, but I think things started to turn around for the better, especially my mindset, when we started to eat at more sit down restaurants toward the end of the trip.
