And my Teerth Yatra continues on the #royalenfield #bullet in search of the #panchabhuta energy forms in #tamilnadu.
Here in Chidambaram we have the fire element celebrated and worshipped as the Agni lingam.
In Chidambaram, an empty space is worshiped as Shiva (akasha lingam) to signify the Divine is beyond human comprehension. Unlike the other temples, this one does not contain a physical stone lingam but has a Nataraj idol made in pancha Dhatu ( 5metals) . Also the shiv Ganga tank has a very serene view . Only one end of the tank , one can view all the four gopurams shiva #absolute #contentment
Nataraja : Akash lingam here is the true meaning of life.
The drum( damru) signifies creation , a raised hand for protection ,a fireball in one hand stands for destruction,a demon suppressed under his leg stands for illusion,a raised foot is for liberation & a smile on the lip says it all , it’s all an illusion. Does Not necessarily mean what our five senses see and feel .
