Today was day 5 of 6 at work and it was only a 4 hour shift. I’ve been super tired this weekend despite my usual healthy sleep habits and working out. I intended on coming home and working on homework but instead I made a frozen cauliflower crust pizza (thanks @costco) and parked my butt on the couch to binge watch Friends. Sometimes you just need to take a mental break from things and listen to your body. I intend on going to sleep at 3 and sleeping a solid 12 hours. I think formal degree-conferred qualifications can provide background on a healthcare provider's competence, but I feel it's important to share with us all that a piece of paper does not necessarily mean quality care or quality info (some of our most widely-used studies/generally accepted pieces of evidence are very biased in some form or another for instance).

There are plenty of people who teach informally without fancy certifications and plenty of non-quantifiable/non-qualifiable experiences. The important take away from this is to check the overall nature of sources. Check the data, cross-check it, and do your due diligence when making decisions (it's the same way 2 "experts" can "disagree" even with many years of experience and a formal knowledge of the subject).

Devil's advocate aside, spreading consciousness and awareness of collective thought aside, this is a part of my effort at transparency.

Often times we get caught up in every day problems, rushing trough life or never pausing for a bit and actually think about all our blessings. Sunday evening and the week has passed. I’m curious to hear what have you been thankful for this week?
I will start myself and actually I found it hard to choose as there are so many things to be thankful about. But I will pick one... This week I have been thankful that I told myself I don’t always have to DO something, and sometimes it’s so nice not having to do anything. For example sleeping in on a weekday and not feeling guilty about it (Normally the voice in my head says you could and should do this and this and that). Such a luxury to slowdown for a bit 🙏🏼. Sometimes that’s just all you need!

Auf Einladung der freien Bürgerliste ProDG hielt ich in Ostbelgien einen Vortrag zum Thema "Umgang mit Stress und sich selbst". Der Belgische Rundfunk hatte bereits ein Interview mit mir im Mittagsmagazin "Brasserie" gesendet. Die Stimmung war trotz gefülltem Saal prima. Und die positive Energie war auch in der Diskussion danach spürbar. Nach dem Vortrag war ich bei der Signierstunde meiner Bücher im Austausch mit vielen Interessierten. So durfte ich eine Menge über die positive Bewegung der Deutschsprachigen Gemeinschaft in Ostbelgien lernen. Von der positiven Haltung ließe sich viel auf unsere Organisationen übertragen.
