I’ve had this rad Yashica Samurai half frame camera for a few years now and realized I have only put one roll of film through it. Time for that to change.
It’s an odd beast, with a removable hot shoe attachment if you want to use a bigger flash. The battery door has the kung-fu grip (which I believe is actually know as the action grip), and it looks more like a little camcorder than an slr. But a true slr it is, you can see the little half sized shutter/mirror housing, and the film travels vertically up the back of the camera, giving you 72 frames on a 36 shot roll. There’s a wonderful thwack/clack from the shutter when you take a picture.
I’ve got a project I came up with utilizing it, hopefully something will pan out with that in the future!
