One late night in February (seriously, it was like 11pm), I signed up for this at-home workout program on a whim. I hadn’t read any reviews, I just clicked the “sign up” button and hoped for the best. To be honest, I was pretty skeptical. My friends were the kind of people who went to the gym to work out, but that wasn’t me. I never felt comfortable in a gym and even made excuses not to go... 7am on a Saturday? No, sorry, I have a paper to write. YEAH RIGHT, PAIGE.
I remember clicking on the Country Heat program because I was intimidated by weights and didn’t have any equipment. I gave the zumba-style workout a good ol’ college try. I felt silly “dancing” (let’s be real, you can’t call my moves dancing) around my room at 11pm at night, but you know what? I LOVED IT.
I would finish studying or doing homework early to dance my butt off every night. Even if I had an 8am the next day, I made sure to squeeze in a quick 30 minute workout before bed. So, that silly little zumba program quickly became my stress outlet for the next month, until I started looking into other programs. I soon fell in love with weights—sorry cardio, I still don’t like you—and here I am now.
😊 The HAPPIEST I’ve been in a long time
