Creamy Tortellini Soup! Another #SSS!! This one can be done either crock or stovetop! I’ve done both. It’s easy, hearty, and can feed a crowd!! Ingredients:
19oz Bag cheese tortellini (frozen or fresh) I like fresh!
One bag of spinach! 🍃
2-14.5oz cans of Italian style diced tomatoes 🍅
1 8oz block of cream cheese
1lb sausage, turkey sausage/chicken sausage*
3-4 cups chicken broth (start with 3; if you want it more ‘soupy’ add the 4th cup) BTW a 32oz carton of chicken broth is 4 cups #mathgenius #yourewelcomefriends
Slice then brown sausage; add all ingredients in crockpot (chunking up cream cheese) I put spinach in big pile on top and don’t stir in until heated through, before I add tortellini noodles—this steams the spinach as it cooks! 😁 Cook on low for 4-6 hours then I turn off the crockpot and add tortellini. Let it set until tortellini is cooked through-stirring occasionally! Voila! You’ve got dinner! As a busy mom and teacher-I love these dump and go recipes!! 💁🏻♀️ #illusionist #momwin #canihavemoreplease
Full Disclosure: I’ve tried lots of different kinds of sausage 🤦🏻♀️ (get yer head outta the gutter!) tonight’s was the Never Any Tomato Basil chicken sausage from @aldiusa-it was okay 👋🏻) My favorite sausage for this dish is the @johnsonville Chicken Sausage-they have two flavors that are equally good in this dish-separate or mixed. 3 Cheese Italian Style or the Chipotle Monterey Jack Cheese! #droolworthy
