Competition is fierce. College graduation rates are at its highest, our population is increasing, and gainful opportunities of various kind are a limited resource. It doesn't matter if you are participating in an extracurricular activity or searching for a job, there will be competition everywhere you go. When it seems like you are overlooked continuously and ignored at every turn, and you have tried everything realize you may not have tried every option. Don't be afraid to change the game and try something new. There are always rooms for new innovative ideas. It may take some trial and error, but once you nail that new approach to completing objectives and meeting your goals, you will be set on a new path of growth. Also, I believe the most overlooked factor to success is time. It seems we don't have time for anything anymore and we are always rushing to get where we need to go, but no matter how fast paced our world becomes true success takes that same amount of time as it did 100 years ago. The recipe for success still requires practice, experience, and constant learning over a period. If you want to escape your competition and move miles ahead, realize most will race to the finish line, but if you put the time in to truly and honestly develop your craft, you will finish first in the end.
