"Be the change you want to see." Credited to Mahatma Ghandi, although some say unknown.
Do you see yourself as the World sees you?
If you were to describe yourself, what redeeming qualities come to mind? Generous, caring, passionate, empathetic, kind, creative?
What if you were to ask Others? Would they say and see the same redeeming qualities?
We all know the people we are able to describe quickly.
Listen to what Others are saying. More importantly to what they are not saying.
Do you hear, "You are kind...you take the time... thank-you for listening...I needed your empathy...you make my gut hurt from laughing so hard." Or do Others only compliment you on "things" rather than qualities.
Or perhaps, no one is saying anything.
Take the time to reflect.
Take the time to appreciate Others.
Let's make the art of the handwritten "thank-you" note mainstream!
It's a scientific fact that endorphins released, when we are happy - creates a healthier you/us.
