I want to speak on something I’ve been experiencing and witnessing through out my personal training journey. Here’s the deal...I studied day in and day out to know my shizz and become certified in personal training so I could be knowledgeable and help people in a safe and educational environment. Just because someone has 100 gym selfies and hashtags “personal trainer” does not mean they are certified to give people workouts or advice on certain exercises. Those of us that have certifications or even more, degrees, in health/nutrition, exercise science, PT, etc. have put in the TIME, late nights, early mornings and much much more to truly help people. Please, if you are not certified or do not have a degree in the subject you are giving advice on, please stop, because you could be putting people in danger or even worse, injuring someone by giving them workout plans that you are not trained to give. And for the hundreds, even thousands, of young girls who are looking up to these people, do your research. Find out who has been trained in what they are preaching and respect those women...not the ones who are trying to make a quick buck off stolen programs or a quick google search result.
