Motivation is extremely useful and an important part of achieving goals BUT don’t rely on motivation alone to reach your goal.

Use motivation to kick start a new plan, habit or exercise routine but invest in developing good habits along the way.

It’ll be the discipline you apply to developing and practicing these habits that allow you to reach the goal especially after motivation drops off.

I’ve been spending the morning checking in with clients. I absolutely just love this part. Even when the initial interaction starts with he or she feeling disappointed in the progress we can often reframe it and see things from a different perspective and/or get a plan to tackle the upcoming week ahead with renewed vigor. From seeing the scale go down to inches lost, better workouts, more strength, a better relationship with food, a-ha moments, plateaus busted, looser fitting clothes, feeling leaner, changes in the mirror...and so many more. I absolutely love doing this and love helping people achieve these things and I am so grateful for the trust and the opportunity to do so.
Can you do this without coaching? Absolutely. Should you? Well, that depends. How many times have you tried and failed on your own? Are you trying to do the same thing over and over expecting something different?
If you want to know the difference between other “plans” and the way I structure things, the difference...is me.
There’s never going to be a “good time”. There will always be excuses.

Today was hard. I woke up, got the kids ready for school and fully intended to lounge for a bit before starting work. When, out of no where, my hubby asks, “What kind of crazy workout are you doing today?” My first reaction was to blow him off but then I thought about my goal and my passion and was reinvigorated! Once the kids were dropped off I headed home for 10 hill sprints and a quick stair workout (followed by some shoulder stability) and got my day started right! Next stop: Kronberg. I’m on my way to a village near Frankfurt to share zero waste hacks with an international group of young adults at @kolpingworkcamps. From there, I’ll head to a sustainable Festival in Southern Germany tomorrow. .

I love being on the road, especially traveling by train as it allows me to eat, work, rad, sleep, (....) while going at up to 260 km/hour. .

As I travel across the country quite frequently these days, I’ve come up with a certain routine to save money and trash:
1. Carry a reusable bottle of water
2. Bring snacks in my own container
3. Bring leftovers for lunch o buy ab affordable pretzel or bun for lunch at the train station.
4. Bring my reusable mug to get coffee or a smoothie in (that’s optional because it’s a special treat to me). Today’s special was getting one of my favorite smoothies.

Start a new book

Any readers in the house?
I can't remember a time growing up when my nose was not in a book.
Though I had a vivid imagination, books took me off to places I never dreamt off. I regularly ate my meals flicking through a book 🙈The old school version of scrolling through our phones.
These days I focus more on books to expand my knowledge and improve my mind set. Readers are leaders after all. Over the years, my box of books was getting increasingly heavy to carry and environmentaly I prefer the Kindle.
However.. Every now and then I allow a little fantasy in,and an actual book. The feel and smell of the new pages is still a fabulous one.
Stephen King is a favorite.. The favorite in fact!
I loved his old style horror about monsters, but much more so his new psychological thrillers where the people are the villains. Nobody writes more intriguing characters in my opinion.
So his new book The outsider is on my reading list for tonight.

Tell me some of your favorites?
Not a reader but would like to be? Pick the favorite book you've ever read (even if that's a childhood favorite). Read 5 pages every day(more if you can but at least 5). You'll be surprised that you will build up a love. Audio books are a great way to pass a car commute or train /bus journey.

The more I read about MJ the more I'm inspired by him. Even though his philosophies we're predicated towards sports I feel that they can be related to many aspects of business and life. He was coachable, humble, hardworking but most of all his self awareness was at another level. Self awareness I believe is the key to success cause if you can't take an outside view into your life and habits you'll never know what to fix. Practice this daily, audit yourself and most of all be true to yourself.

One of my absolute FAVORITE and EASIEST dinners 🤤

Garlic Parmesan Shrimp and Zucchini Noodles!🍤🍤🍅🍅

I buy the zucchini noodles pre-Made so this entire meal literally takes less than 15 minutes!
.

🍤 Peel and rinse pr-cooked shrimp. Drizzle with a little avocado oil and season with garlic and pepper. .
.
🍤 drizzle with a little avocado oil and sauté zucchini noodles on med heat (covered) for approx. 5 minutes. Season with garlic and pepper as well. .
.
🍤 add in shrimp and some sliced baby tomatoes (if desired) sauté for about 10 more minutes.
.
.
Add in a little fresh grated Parmesan, and then serve!👌🏻
.

Can’t beat easy, healthy, ready in 15 and only 2 dishes to clean! 😀🙌🏻

This is absolutely true!! Do you have some “bad” habits when it comes to eating? I know I did. I was an avid snacker after dinner! So much so, that I would wake up during the night feeing very nauseous.

After changing some habits I now don’t search the fridge for an after dinner snack.

Was it difficult? Well, to begin with, yes. But NOW?? I am sleeping a little better and not waking up feeling like I need to visit the toilet.

We really have no idea what we are doing. Our parents did the 9 to 5, our grandparents found security in working for 45 years for one company until they turned 65, retired, and got their pension cheque to finally bounce. Our great grandparents got married at 22 because they were not in school as long as we are today. Our parents said once you get married life is complete and so this was their only aim. What we find value in today is different than back then. The level of worth and success back then was the size of your home but people today find worth in many areas like being comfortable in their own skin, or being able to say they climbed machu picchu or had the chance to visit all 7 continents. Just because our parents and their parents did something a certain way doesn't mean that will work for us. We just follow these rules because we want to get through this life with the least amount of scrapes as possible and so if our parents did ok putting all their money in a home instead of travel or whatever then so should we. The problem is we don't all operate from the same place and have the same desires so because we just dont know any better we listen to past stories of how it should be done but what if that story contradicts what you believe? Now what? Now you got some inner demons to fight. Now you gotta fight the system, now you gotta fight your family and their beliefs. So people just go along the same path as everyone else because fighting the norm is way too much work and effort. The truth is we really have no idea what we are doing because everyones path is different and we are all just winging it. There is no manual for life and there is no one thing that makes us all happy and that is why it is so important to find out what makes your heart sing and do that regardless of the formula that was once told to us. A chance to look back and see how far we have come! 💞 I got this little book in Tahoe a few weeks ago, you can write about a memory or a feeling, or something you want to remember. It tracks your thoughts for 5 years!! We have gone through so much in the last 3 weeks and I have been able to write it all down, and a year from now I will go back to those pages and add to it! I literally CANNOT wait to see what the future holds and how far we will go!

Taquitos de portobello 🍄Súper fáciles de hacer.
Ingredientes:.
- 1 portobello.
- 1/4 de Calabaza.
- 1/4 de cebolla.
- 1/4 de pimiento amarillo y rojo.
- 1/2 aguacate.
- 2 tortillas Ezekiel.
- Sriracha.
- Aceite de coco.
- Sal y Pimienta.
- Hempseeds.
- Aceite de oliva.
Procedimiento:
.
- Cortar las verduras en julianas y ponerlas en un sartén a fuego lento con aceite de coco, ponerles sal y pimienta al gusto.
-Picar los portobellos en tiritas y ponerlas en otro sartén con aceite de coco y ponerle sal y pimienta.
-En un bowl preparar el aguacate con sal, pimienta y un chorrito de aceite de oliva.
- Calentar las tortillas.
- Ponerle primero el aguacate, después las verduras y lo último los portobellos.
- Toppings: Sriracha y Hempseeds.

Seit dem Du da bist, interessiert mich Umweltschutz noch tausendmal mehr. Kein Tag vergeht, an dem ich mir keine Gedanken darüber mache, wie diese Welt zu retten ist. Ist sie das überhaupt noch? Ist es zu spät? Ist noch Zeit?

Back to it!

After a few days of munching this and munching that, I decided to going back to the #medicalmediumprotocol
. It did make me feel a lot better and healthier! I had more energy, got out of bed better and felt like I was doing something good for my body.
.
Yesterday I started with cucumber, celery and apple juice. Followed by some fruited and a smoothie in the evening. .
Today I did the first day of the protocol, it didn't go as planned but more on that at @happyhigherself .
.
I am off again tomorrow so hopefully being on the move again will help calm my mind and I can stick to the plan 🙏

Day 1 of the 28 days of the #medicalmediumprotocol

Started out with lemon water, then celery juice, followed by a fruit platter.
.
For lunch I had pineapple, strawberries, apricots, and an apple.
.
Dinner was a salad with cucumber, tomatoes, apple, peach and I might have already gotten weak and had some nuts.
.
At the moment I find it very hard to leave the fat out. I have a feeling that I might not be eating enough calories and then I crash in the evening.
.
From tomorrow on I will start having my detox smoothie again in the morning as I have realised that it keeps me full for longer and then actually trying to not be scared of bananas.
.
This journey is still very new to me! I haven't eaten many fruits for years as it apparently made you overweight.
.
However, I have already seen benefits! The heavy metals in my body went down already and my overall health has increased.

Never in a million years did I think that I would be that girl. Standing in front of a camera, face full of sweat, smiling and sharing my workout with you.

I was always the girl in the background, you know the one who was too busy looking around to make sure no one was watching her, no one was silently correcting her form, no one was judging how many reps she could or couldn’t do.
.
.
I have come a long way since then and I seriously had no desire to be sweating and working hard every single day the way I do now.
But because of it:
•I feel more energetic
•I look leaner and more muscular
•I have confidence!!!
•I am healthier
•I actually want to sweat and push my muscles
•I am not afraid of what people think anymore
•I actually love the gym

It’s not about who you are now, it’s not about what obstacles are in your way, it’s not about what you think is good for you. Instead it’s about getting up in the morning, making choices that make you better, not caring what others think and doing what will get you to where you want to be.

Did I know I wanted to be a part of the health and fitness world? No.... it found me.

.
And I ran with it. Because it checked some of my boxes. NOW it’s checking boxes I didn’t even know I had.

Be patient with yourself, be open minded, be playful with life and all it has to offer. And last but not least, don’t take yourself too seriously. Just do what feels right.
