Contrary to popular belief the chest is NOT split between inner(middle chest) and outer chest like most people believe but rather upper and lower pecs. The muscle fibers in the pec are horizontal in nature and there fore need to be trained in that manner to activate the most muscle fibers. -

Execution:
Force internal rotation of the shoulder (I need to do it more) at the short position of the contraction(bottom of the press) in order to recruit the greatest % of contractile tissue as one of the pecs responsibility is internal rotation.

Just a few clips from yesterday’s upper body workout. I decided to superset my workouts and go at a quicker pace than usual, heating up my body more. Overall, these workouts are my go-tos. Typically if I do lighter weight, I’ll go higher in repetitions, so between 20-30 reps per set of 4.

Whether you’re a beginner in the gym, first time going in or you’ve been working out for years, having a solid structure is so so important.

Take your time to get the motion right of each exercise you’re doing to get the most out of EACH REP. Its easy to put to stack up the weight and move it, but that’s not the most beneficial for your body.
_

Beginners: try different machines to start BUILDING your muscle structure, be able to control the weight with the PROPER muscle you’re intending to work. Eventually, using free weights and machines with less strict form (ex: bench) you can control the weight more and isolate your chest better!

Advanced: You can do this for any machine and any exercise. Use a moderate weight and go slow with the movement. Control the weight down and squeeze at the top and hold it for 2-5 seconds.
