This helpless calf is terrified since he knows what lies ahead. He can hear screams, and more importantly, he can smell the blood since cows have an excellent sense of smell. Since he can't escape, he tries to beg the Spanish slaughterhouse worker.
He makes eye content, he moves his head, he even cries from the depth of his soul. Despite understanding his pleads, the worker can't help him, even if he wanted to. If he won’t do the job- someone else will do it.
Begging in front of the wrong person.
The calf tries to beg for his life but his cries are in complete vain. As long as there is a demand for meat, he and more innocent animals will have their lives ripped away from them. If only these animals could beg in front of the people who consume meat, then things might be different.
But the meat industry knows this, they know that hearing the animals cry and beg is bad for business. This is why the only thing that is shown to the public are sterile packages of meat and misleading commercials.
The cries of animals don't have to be in vain.
Isn’t it time for the pleads and the cries to be heard outside the closed slaughterhouses? Don’t these animal victims deserve that we at least listen to what they are trying to tell us?
