Throw back to almost 3 years ago when I shot one of my first intimate motherhood sessions with a beautiful friend and her babe. These don’t book. I’m not sure what the separation is but I have a feeling it stems from mothers not feeling worthy. “I can’t spend money like that on pictures of just myself and children”. “My body isn’t ready yet, one day”. “I don’t know how to dress or what to do”. So let me break this down..you ARE worthy. I have never had a client regret spending money on portraits. I have never gotten an email years later saying, “geeze, I wish I hadn’t had these taken”. It is not selfish to want to be photographed. How many pictures do you take of your kids with everyone else BUT you? And if someone does take your picture, you’re not usually portrayed how you want to be because it’s just a quick snap. Better than nothing, of course, but you deserve this. You are worth this. If you’re waiting for the perfect body? Well, it’s never going to happen..and I mean that in the sense that you will NEVER feel perfect or ready for this. You won’t. While you’re waiting for that body, your baby is growing so freaking fast. Before you know it they’re 7 years old and getting *this* picture, it’s not happening. If you’re lost on what to wear, how to shoot in your home, and worried that you’ll be awkward, rest assured, THAT’S MY JOB. I’m 100% here for you. I help you dress (if you take advantage of me, which you should), I move your house around how I want it, and I direct you on what to do..which isn’t hard, love your children.
If money is an issue, plan in advance. Put a deposit down for a shoot months from now. Put back $20 here and there and you will have enough by the time we work together.
You are worthy, mama, and so are your children. You are beautiful. You deserve THIS. **more in my stories**
