Today is a great day for oatmeal! It’s so cold outside and it just warms me up. When I make my oatmeal I definitely don’t do the brown sugar and the dried fruit but rather I rely on cinnamon and maybe some sliced almonds.

Cinnamon is said to increase insulin sensitivity and decrease blood sugar which are two key components for losing weight and controlling type two diabetes. Cinnamon is also thought to boost metabolism because your body uses more energy to process the spice that it does for other foods.
