"Number one in your life's blueprint should be a deep belief in your own dignity, your own worth and your own somebodiness. Don't allow anybody to make you feel that you are nobody. Always feel that you count. Always feel that you have worth, and always feel that your life has ultimate significance.

Secondly, in your life's blueprint, you must have a basic principle of the determination to achieve excellence in your various fields of endeavor.

You're going to be deciding as the days and years unfold what you will do in life, what your life's purpose will be. Once you discover what it will be, set out to do it and do it well.

Be a bush if you can't be a tree, if you can't be a highway, just be a trail. If you can't be the sun, be a star for isn't by size that you win or you fail, be the best of whatever you are.

Finally in your life's blueprint, must be a commitment to the eternal principles of beauty, love and justice.

Well life for none of us has been a crystal stair, but we must keep moving, we must keep going.

If you can't fly, run. If you can't run , walk. If you can't walk, crawl, but by all means, keep moving." Martin Luther King

I'm in city mouse mode: Commuting on trains and listening to podcasts. #uncivil is my new fav. This episode is about black land in Georgiaβ€”they myth of forty acres and a mule and how the (in)justice system in the USA is STILL permitting white folks to steal black land. Give it a spin, good people.

#mcm Aaron Alex Courtney, a 31-year-old high school football coach in Gainesville, spent nearly four hours protesting on Thursday, and was getting ready to leave when he saw a man in a swastika covered t-shift causing a commotion. β€œI had the opportunity to talk to someone who hates my guts and I wanted to know why. During our conversation, I asked him, β€˜Why do you hate me? What is it about me? Is it my skin color? My history? My dreadlocks?’” But the man simply looked off into the distance. β€œAfter beating around the bush, and avoiding my questions, I asked him, I pleaded with him, I almost broke out in tears. I didn’t understand.” Then, β€œSomething in me said, β€˜You know what? He just needs love. Maybe he never met an African-American like this.” He hugged him three times and until the alt-right protested hugged him back. "He wrapped his arms around me, and I asked again, 'Why do you hate me?'" The man finally answered, β€œI don’t know.” #amazing #america #beautiful #blacklivesmatter #civilrights #equality #happy #history #instagood #justice #love #me #nonazis #power #smile #thisisnotus #tweegram
