If you know me, you’ll know the only way I can fit so much into my days is by planning and planning ahead. I use my Sundays to plan for the week ahead. So each Sunday I will be sharing my Sunday Prep tips on various areas. After all, a Sunday well spent brings a week of content. .
Today I will be talking about planning your outfits. As I usually know what I’m doing or where I’m going to be, I can plan my outfits on a Sunday. This helps me by saving time in the mornings and I can accessorise better because I’m not rushing around. .
I’m lucky to have a walk-in wardrobe and dressing room space to get ready in every morning. So I have space for a separate clothes rail. This clothes rail really helps me plan my clothes as I can see what outfits will work together and add bags, shoes, belts, scarves and jewellery. It allows me to wear more of what’s in my wardrobe because I’m not rushing for the nearest item in the morning. .
So grab yourself a rail or just create more space in your wardrobe. Put on your favourite music/podcast/audiobook. Look at what you’re doing for each day next week and plan accordingly. .
If you find this difficult at first, start to imagine its that particular day and you’re just about to go out to start that day. What would you wear? Then add accessories such as shoes, bags and jewellery. Then start on the next day and so on. .
If you want to wear something and just noticed it has a stain or it needs a button then you have the time to do this. If you need to iron something, todays the day when it gets done as it all saves you time in the mornings. .
For me, when I’m well dressed, I feel more confident and more able to tackle the day ahead. This means I spend less time in the mornings thinking about what to wear and it saves time as I know what to wear. .
It may take practice at first but try it. You might find it useful tool to stay ahead of the week.
