October 30th, 2018, sunset hour on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.
Last post, I shared some “quik” #hero6 footage from this evening swim to capture the sunset glow over the water’s surface. Knowing the waves were on the rise, and seeing a break in the clouds above the horizon, the mission was set.
Unfortunately, my wife and I share the same camera body, a #canon7dmarkii, and she had recently used the camera for her own purpose. Changed the settings, and I was left shooting one frame at a time out there. So I missed many of the shots I thought “I could have gotten that one...” A lesson learned, again. Double check ALL your settings before locking your camera in it’s #cmtwaterhousings protective gear, and make sure you got it right to how you want it.
Fortunately, I didn’t let this hiccup stop me from adventuring out into the water and enjoying myself in the waves and shore break. Hopefully these images give you a glimpse to why I was so elated to be swimming at this time, to have followed through with my gut feelings, and to have let life naturally take it’s course and yet have my intended plan come to fruition through execution. Make sense? Hope it did. Anyway, just go on and enjoy the hiccups, people. #learntolivewithit
