Love this video ! My client was feeling a little over golfed and tennised from matches all weekend. The adrenaline, the competition hit #monday work with a #tenniselbow slump . Lethargic but wanting to train , we had a play and started to work on locomotion. Left leg likes to externally rotate which is not a problem and works well in his golf , here we worked on skill development to challenge a little more internal rotation , some type 2 and type 1 thoracic , shoulder flexion and flexing and focused on knee drive with hops !
They are bloody #horrible and he did want to stop early - but we play to his competitive nature . He wet through the tough times .

Let’s talk about deadlifts! Pulling this trick out from @achievefitnessboston !! If you’re one of those people’s whose knees come forward in a deadlift/have a “squatty” deadlift, try this variation!

Keep your calves touching the back of the bench (or any other comparable piece of equipment) the entire time while deadlifting. Focus on pushing your hips and butt back, core engaged, and neutral spine while contacting the bench. If you ever break contact, then you know you have some work to do!

Shooting is one of my all time favorite hobbies since I was 7 years old. I love how you really have to clear your mind to be able to concentrate on your target.
There are many situations in life where you have to clear your mind from all the sh!t happening to you and to only think and focus on your next shot. That's a hard one. I've got a temper. So I think shooting is one of the best choices for me to work on this all "free my mind" stuff.
Not to mention how damn good it feels to notice your own improvement from time to time.
Maybe slowly I'm becoming the Woman who I wouldn't f*ck with...☠️

We don't do hourly pay in Nigeria but have you ever tried to figure out how much an hour of your time is worth?

It's often said that time is money, perhaps if we quantified it and placed a value on it, we would adjust some decisions.

The approximate value of a work hour would be your net pay divided by total number of hours worked.

With a number, you can now start making trade offs with decision that involve time and money.

If an hour of your time is worth 2,000.. Theoretically, it might make sense to pay 500 for a quick delivery instead of spending an hour in traffic.. Its probably not so straight forward, as there are other factors involved - would you get an extra 2,000 by actually continuing to work?

Asides that, time is actually invaluable.
Perhaps you like the scenery and would rather drive down instead of getting a delivery.

Put together, placing some sort of value on your time - not just financial value - would help put daily choices in proper perspective.

Yes I have been reintroducing some cardio back into my life... No that doesn’t mean going 0 to 100 and putting all my “eggs in one basket”. Gradual changes will allow to keep progressing and avoid that plateau phase that everyone dreads. Keeping my cardio short n sweet for awhile so currently doing 3x 15 min of HIIT a week. I typically try and do a variation of HIIT so I will be posting them in my IG stories for you to follow along and give them a try 💪❤️

Eigengewicht vs Krafttraining mit Gewichten
Beides funktioniert, jedoch ist es einfacher mehr Gewicht auf die Stange zu packen als plötzlich mit einarmigen Liegestütze anzufangen (es dauert bis man Eigengewichtübungen meistert), dafür ist ein einarmiger Liegestütz oder gar ein Handstandliegestütz deutlich beeindruckender als eine bloße Gewichtszahl!

Will man sich von Training zu Training steigern und möglichst hart belastet kann man bei Gewichttraining ganz einfach über das Gewicht kontrollieren, wie es läuft, während man bei Eigengewicht keine objektiven Kontrollwerte außer den Wiederholungen hat.

Jedoch sparen Eigengewichtübungen Zeit, denn man kann zwar auch 1-2h Eigengewichttrainings machen, aber wenn man Pausen kürzt und richtig reinhaut fährt man mit der Belastung von so vielen Muskeln gleichzeitig wie bei Eigengewichtübungen sehr effektiv.

Das Problem daran ist, aber dass man kaum Musklen isoliert trainieren kann, wenn man keine Gewichte/Maschinen verwendet. So kann man schlecht an Schwachstellen arbeiten und diese gezielt verbessern, oder einzelne Proportionen am Körper verändern. ABER wenn man nur das Eigengewicht verwendet, erhält man Übungen wie man sie in der Natur findet und so auch die natürlichste Belastung, welche zu natürlichen Proportionen führen, so dass man nicht aufgeblasen aussieht.
Ich finde man sollte beides kombinieren, um die Alltagsnähe und Natürlichkeit der Eigengewichtübungen mit der Möglichkeit der Isolation und einfachen Steigerung von Kraftübungen mit Gewichten zu kombinieren. Persönlich mache ich immer 1-2 Eigengewichtübungen und 4-5 Gewichtübungen in meinen Trainings.
