Today I’ve completed my #30DaysYogaChallenge. This has meant for me devoting approximately 1 hour of my time to the practice of yoga on a daily basis. Undertaking this challenge has been an intensely rewarding experience and such a loving thing to stay committed to. I’m overwhelmingly grateful to all those who have inspired me, coached me, and guided me through this amazing discipline, whether near or far. I am also hugely grateful to myself for always finding the time to practice yoga in addition to other sports, no matter what, and to put my heart in it. When I started practicing hatha yoga regularly only some 4 months ago I had no idea where it would have taken me. Yoga was nothing more than “another sport” or “fitness activity” I could enjoy myself with. Yet I said to myself: “let’s give it a go”. Meaningfully.
Then, as I became more involved in yoga, including meditation and breathing techniques, I developed a deep sense of inner peace, joy, self confidence and motivation that would remain with me even after the yoga classes or self-practices were finished. I felt truly Alive and Present at all levels: physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I was grounded to the Earth, yet elevated to other realms of a spiritual nature: I was connected to the Whole. Filled with gratitude, harmony and clarity of mind, I felt happy and at peace. I am thrilled at the prospect of learning new things and renewing myself everyday. Indeed, my journey to learning and self-realization has only just begun. #30daysyogachallenge #done #yoga #hathayoga #dailypractice #ploughpose #Halasana #commitment #selfdiscipline #meditation #pranayama #peace #health #selfrealization #grateful
