Thank you Hot Yoga Everett and @bjweitl for a beautiful community Yin class. These community classes and you all are so precious to me!
I first started teaching Yin when it was not a really well-known and still a rather obscure practice.
I have taught in studios to 50+students, small classes of 1-3, corporate gyms, living rooms, via YouTube videos, emailed sequences to friends and sent audio recordings, even taught in conference rooms. I have used books, rolled up mats, and other random assortment of props.
I can’t really adequate explain my deepest desire and need to share and create through this medium. I consider it art and creation. I go to bed at night thinking of how to improve, tweak, polish the craft. While teaching I see and listen to your bodies and energy - and change and adjust the sequence accordingly. It brings me joy to personalize the class to the individuals practicing.
Thank you Hot Yoga Everett students and Mama @wang_yu_kingfish for taking a journey with me all those years ago - for your willingness and curiosity to welcome in a Yin class in a exclusively Bikram studio - you have guided me so much through this journey! Love you all! We will have another one in February! 🧡 #yinyoga #yinteacher #yinsters #yinyogaseattle #seattleyoga #pnwyoga #yin #paulgrilley #sarahpowers #bernieclark #communityclass
