Anyone else go for a walk and then have a sudden urge to see how many push ups you can do? Same

Haven’t done push ups in YONKS, so I was aiming high and trying for 10 reps, managed to pump out 22 with probably 2-3 reps left in the tank 🙌 new goal is to get 30 in a row by the end of the year.

Does anyone else set themselves random performance goals? 😅
With my MAIN goal at the moment being all about how I look, I find it so motivating so focus on small performance goals to aim to achieve in a short period of time. This way I’m not so fixated on that one long term goal, even though it’s the most important to me.

Set yourself small, realistic goals to focus on, while still chasing that one big goal of yours 👏

Shout out to this lil pocket rocket 🚀 @alisha_horne has been on an absolute roll lately. She is training harder and more frequently, eating for her goals and most importantly, she is being CONSISTENT with it all.
.
You can have the perfect plan but if you aren’t adherent and consistent with it, you won’t get your desired results. Sticking even 50% to the plan is better than nothing at all.

DOUBLE TAP if you use resistance bands on leg day 🍑💪🏼♥️
I spent 3 months earlier this year with hip pain due to a hip impingement, which resulted in the activation of my right glute being inhibited and I was unable to consciously contract it ➡️ the mind-muscle contraction we all work so hard on building was gone. I started to incorporate a lot of unilateral leg work into my training sessions, and started using my resistance bands more often, to make sure all the right muscles were firing correctly, and to help rebuild the strength in my glutes again. I’m still not working at 100% but am getting there!!
Here’s a little clip from part of my leg session on Saturday. I originally wasn’t going to post the full video, I was going to cut out the hip thrusts. This was my last set and I went a bit heavier than I have done in a while, so removed my resistance band and you might be able to see I struggled - my form is messy and a was unable to reach full hip extension on my right. So next session - the weight will be going back down and I’ll be working on my form. I thought you might like to see it though, as not everything always goes to plan during your training sessions!

Clam 30reps
Hip thrusts with a 2 sec pause at the top x10
Seated hip abduction - 30 reps leaning forwards, 30 reps sitting upright, 30 reps reclined.
Repeat 3 times 🙌🏼 My bands are from @h3althycollection and come in 4 different resistance levels. Try adding them to your next training session for a little extra challenge 💪🏼

Monday’s = progress pic day.
After 2 weeks I am down 1.6 kilos and feeling leaner.
I fell off the bandwagon a little last week and probably wasn’t eating enough and had too many late nights.
Back into it this week, meals prepped for the next few days & catching up on sleep.
So happy with my progress so far, can’t wait to see where I am at in another 20 weeks 💪🏼

Sunday upper body workout was a gentle one because my lower back is still not feeling so strong after some heavy lifting last week. Give it more rest and see how we go next week. But no excuses to skip the gym! 💪

Today’s full day of eating 🥳
Breakfast- 3 eggs, English muffin, kiwi fruit, yoghurt and a coffee
Lunch- kangaroo sausages, veggies and gravy
Dinner- beef strog, peas and a big pile of sour cream
Snacks- apples, kiwi fruit, yoghurt, nut bar, corn thins with vegemite and strawberry jam, boysenberry drumstick and another coffee ☕️✔️

There’s a common misconception that flexible dieters only fill up their macros with foods like burgers, ice cream, etc. but the reality is, majority of our diet consists of whole foods. However, we don’t restrict the foods we love! .
Flexible dieting is just that-it’s flexible. I’m a massive ice cream lover so there’s no way I could stick to a diet that fully restricted ice cream, I’d probably go insane 🙃 this method of eating helps me eat all the things I enjoy, while still reaching my goals. ✌️

Had an amazing night last night at the Team Chief Christmas Party! Was an awesome night filled with food and drinks and great company. Definitely a good way to end a big year!

This year has also brought me to the decision that 2019 will see me on the stage competing! It's a big decision and its gonna take a lot of determination and I'm going to really have to push beyond my limits and stick to a strict diet and training regime to get there but I know I can and I know that I'll have the full support of Paul pushing me to be the best. 💪💪💪

Don’t blame other people or external factors or uncontrollable circumstances for your lack of success.

Farrrr to often I hear things like “I was stuck in traffic that day so when I got home I was too tired to get to the gym” or “my friends got ice cream so I had to as well”.

This mindset is not going to get you very far, sometimes you have to go and train when you’re tired, some times you have to miss out on ice cream with friends, sometimes you have to make sacrifices 🤷‍♀️

Ultimately, your life is YOUR responsibility, stop trying to find a quick fix, work hard for what you want ✌️

Anyone else have that one exercise that you just really hate and suck at? That would be squats for me 🙋‍♀️

I haven’t had squats in my program for 6 weeks so what better way to get back into them other than pause squats ☠️

My goal by the end of this training cycle is to do them with 60kg(this is 40kg and already so hard lol), wish me luck 😅🥳

9 weeks left until @ifbbproleagueoz, time is flying by, but also feel right on track to be ready to step on that stage in February!

Still eating lots of food and enjoying the flexibility with this prep, being able to mix things up makes it so much more enjoyable and im finding i dont really have any major cravings, as im satisfied with my food👌. Ankle monitoring device fitted in Hong Kong. Seems like I have been hanging around inmates for too long this year so they gave me my own here.

This great little gadget is my locker key in the gym. So easy to use touch and go and no need to remember keypad numbers or to have pockets for a little key.

The ankle seemed the most appropriate place as my upper body was getting a bit of a hammering.

It is lucky I am not that strong as DBs maxed out on incline DB bench and the stack on a few others.
Great gym with all the equipment one needs to keep comp prep moving along as required. Huge plus of no humidity and aircon that works. Can tell we are no longer in a developing nation now.
