Monday’s are usually associated with a fresh start.
“No more sugar.”
“I’m getting back on the wagon.”
“I’m fasting to make up for all I ate this weekend.”
“I’ll do an hour of cardio.”
If you’re at all like me, you’ve said/done one or all of these things.
Why does our relationship with food have such a power over us?
I try to live a balanced lifestyle of eating, exercising and enjoying life, but sometimes it is tough!
Sometimes I do have regrets over eating an entire bag of popcorn and ice cream AND a bottle of wine (ahem, yesterday) and want to take drastic measures.
I’m here to tell you, I don’t have it all together.
But what I do know for certain... Life is meant to be ENJOYED.
That popcorn, ice cream and wine won’t kill you (Maybe just a lil dehydrated). You do not need to make up for anything you ate.
Instead, think how those moments made you feel. I would rather cherish memories with good people than enhance my relationship with the treadmill and macros.
The food you eat does NOT define you. You are beautiful and you deserve to LIVE your life and eat a double scoop of graham central station and oree-dough ice cream just because
