Next up is Fiona, played by the sparkly Ellen Steele. Fiona is vivacious, excitable and proactive- the opposite of Daniel. Fiona lights up the room, sometimes literally depending on her garish outfits. I took inspiration from flattering feminine silhouettes and clashing patterns and textures for Fiona’s wardrobe. She is also the character in the play with the most costume changes, which was an intentional choice. Not only is she the sign that time is ticking over, but that she is proud of who she is. Fiona stands out against this environment, much like Daniels’ memory of her stands out against everything else.
