After watching the live video and reading the @jojoinstameets IG postings for Hank Daddy's Barbecue, I had to make a visit there. Hank Daddy's Barbecue specializes in Kansas City style barbecue using sweet BBQ sauce and fruitwood to slow smoke different meats. Frank, the Pit Master, cooks mighty fine #danggoodq.
The Kansas City area is home to more than 100 barbecue restaurants. This city hosts the Lenexa BBQ Battle and the American Royal World Series of Barbecue, which is the largest barbecue competition in the world.
Pictured is my platter order of 3 meats and 2 sides. I added pork ribs at an extra cost. My meats in preference were beef brisket, pork ribs, pulled pork and original sausage. My sides were slaw and cornbread. To wash down all this delish BBQ meat, I drank Cherrywine soda. All the meats were tender and juicy. I absolutely loved the fatty beef brisket. The taste of the bark, the outer layer of the brisket, and the fatty part of the brisket was a mouth orgasm.
Meat lovers will be like a kid in a candy store at Hank Daddy's Barbecue. I read the menu on the enormous chalkboard wall and then I read the menu backwards. I zoomed in on a tempting menu item. On Thursdays to Saturdays after 5pm, all you can eat for $35.99. Next time, I will have to consider this and get the chicken wings and dessert pies. Also, I have to see if I can order burnt ends of beef brisket, which is highly sought after by Kansas City BBQ eaters.
