This image has been floating around for a few weeks, and I want to give whoever made it a HUGE hug!
And I want to use it to remind everyone:
—> Anybody can access google, read a book, sign up to sell you a product, or do absolutely nothing and still call themselves a “nutritionist”<—
But not everyone can say they’ve completed didactic coursework, a minimum 1200 hours of supervised practice in clinical, community, and foodservice settings, and passed a national registration exam while obtaining CEU’s every single year (and- in 2024- obtained a master’s degree).
So if you have concerns about your dietary intake, food restrictions, or just want more information- ask for legitimate credentials and talk to a Registered Dietitian. That google machine we’re so fond of is a great way to find one in your area.
Also- check with your insurance to see if your visit is covered. More than likely, your consultation will be less expensive and more effective than all those lotions, potions, and supplements your cousin’s best friend’s dog walker is trying to sell.
