Tip/Review: Using a facial oil as a cleanser with Acure Radically Rejuvenating™ Rose Argan Oil (not sponsored)
- I started using this oil as a second cleanser on a whim when my skin was breaking out randomly with big gross pimples that just would not go away. Nothing else was working, and I was getting desperate. They cleared up in a couple days, and have stayed away!
- My skin type: I have rosacea, my skin is on the dry side, and also reactive, so I get the best of both worlds! - Oil (from what I understand) penetrates deep into the skin, and so it helps to pull out everything under the surface. For people with a skin type similar to mine, it has the added bonus of being hydrating! - Many people with acne and/or oily skin shy away from using an oil. However, with many harsh acne products, you are actually making the problem worse by stripping your skin, especially if you have sensitive/reactive skin. If you feel like nothing is working, try this for a week, it can’t hurt!
- I usually use about 3 pumps, massage into my skin for about 30 sec to a minute, then let it sit (if I have the time) for between 5 and 30 minutes. Then I use a warm washcloth to remove it, and follow with my normal toner/acid, serum, and moisturizer. Note, this is a SECOND cleanse. I remove my makeup first with a cleansing balm!
- Any facial oil of decent quality should work. I have really enjoyed this one, and Acure makes several others. - I have seen @acurebeauty at @target, and @grovecollaborative, and they are very reasonably priced. Their oils are organic, cruelty free, and made in the USA. They just contain the cold-pressed oils - no added fragrance or anything. I got this one for $8.99 from Grove Collaborative.
