Fall for me is rebuilding after the Frenzied summer, the desperate taking in the body does for sun and food ripened in the fields.
The trees effortlessly letting go of what they don’t need anymore, their leaves stripped of chlorophyll leaving the brilliant colors of the minerals that rule them.
The falling to sleep of the plants and flowers.
The bees tucking in to their warm knots in hives.
Fall is going in. Reflection. Deep dependency on the graces of nature that you would have stored in your root cellars 100 years ago. Not that long ago.
For now I am planting my fall seeds of intent which will sleep under the ground locked in slumber by ice and snow.
