@daler_rowney simple watercolors have been SO negatively reviewed as poor colors with no pigmentation. I've swatched them (of course they are compressed powder pigments so you need to let the water do it's thing) and many reviews I've seen just get a droplet of water and expect it to be absorbed and automatically be ready for use. I am no professional, infact, this is my first watercolor experience but I'm pretty sure (because, physics and logic) that you need to let it sit for at least 10 secods to loosen the pigments. Anyway, I wasn't here to share a rant, but share my view and first impression of this product. And for me it worked absolutely fine! The colors ARE pigmented, you just need to WAIT lol. As an impatient person I must say I wasn't bothered by the seconds I had to wait for the water to be properly absorbed.
As my final thought, I DO recommend these simple watercolors. The photo provided is no filter and as you can witness, they are vibrant, and also a whopping $5 USD at Walmart. It's a steal if you ask me.
