Beautiful little lunch with the one & only @thewanderingginger89, on holiday from cruise life, chatting about our wanderlust woes and triumphs.
Myself opening with a Rossini and Andrea with the Chanel No. 6, both champagne cocktails, we decided to split the Petite Gougére: cheese pastry puffs drizzled with Truffle oil to start. Out of a diverse (but not overwhelmingly so) menu, I chose the Toulouse grilled cheese sandwich paired with lobster bisque and Andrea the Croque Madame. Finished up with the quaintest little beignets accompanied by an espresso pot de créme.
Channeling our dear third musketeer @twist_smith who is currently wandering Paris, we sat on the patio shielded from Texan heat taking each plate in leisurely course. The warm, relaxed service made me feel tucked in a hideaway, allowing the champagne to blur the edges and be in the moment
