A HISTORY LESSON. Restoring the past; a significant piece of TX music history, visiting 508 Park in downtown Dallas, where it served as many things since the early 1900’s, most notably as a recording studio where Gene Autry, Bob Wills, The Texas Playboys, The Light Crust Doughboys, and Robert Johnson cut their immortalized tracks. The site has been a place of pilgrimage for several decades, and has been under renovations for a few years now which are coming along beautifully.
We took a tour of the building and this restored signage looked incredible in the crisp TX air. Great to see Dallas not paving, rather embracing its history. #history #music #tx #robertjohnson #508park #DallasMusic
