I admit that for a long time, I have felt as though I am different and don't really fit in with a group of people. I am just over here being me, dancing to the beat of my own drum. I think differently than a lot of people and don't openly share my goals and life intentions with many, because not everyone supports them or believes in them, or understands them. I am totally okay with being my own damn biggest supporter and encourager.
THE ART OF SLOWING DOWN WITH INTENTION |
Running a creative business isn’t always as easy as it seems… only last week I found myself feeling unstuck and to be honest a little overwhelmed by the mountainous list of things I have to do... finish living room, create a properly functioning email list, website tweaks, communicate service offerings, swat up on SEO not to mention the fact that I also have plans to create courses, launch Facebook groups and start using Pinterest effectively… all whilst being a good mum to my 13 year old teenage daughter arrrrghhh It’s a lot!
So, can you guess what happened… I had another one of my epiphanies! I made a conscious decision to sloooooow everything down… right down. For the time being…only posting on Instagram when the feeling takes me! Not only has slowing down with intention provided me with the opportunity to actually think… it has also given me the time to actually admire this beautiful early evening sunset whilst making edits to my website (what a way to work) this is something that I often take for granted when I’m whizzing around in robot mode. Taking the time to slow down... with intention is something I really recommend... I'm not saying do what I do and post only on Insta when the feeling takes you.. But you should be doing what feels right to you... slowing down with intention also gave me the opportunity to formulate my initial business offerings and get them written down on the website… finally! WIN! If you get the chance today… I’d absolutely love for you to head on over to my website (link in bio) and check it out … To all my Insta lovers and artful livers ha ha!!!! Have a lovely weekend! Cheers to that! Be creative

Few people know of my movement background, but if you hung out with me enough you wouldn’t be surprised. I was born with a rhythm in my bones
I dance when I walk
I dance when talk
I experience my world as detailed images of feeling and movement
Dancing was never a career I wanted to pursue, but it will always be integrated into everything that I do Song by Mulatu Astatke “Tezeta”
