The Batasia loop is another famous tourist attraction in Darjeeling. The Batasia loop not only glorifies the stature of the Himalayan railways and the "toy train" but it also has a war memorial at the centre of it(which is captured in this photograph) commemorating the Gorkha Soldiers who have sacrificed their lives post Indian Independence. If you are lucky you might get a breathtaking view of mighty Mt. Kanchenjunga at the backdrop while enjoying a ride in the toy train through the Batasia loop.
