I mean why even have a Victorian if you don't put an almost 11 foot tree in the foyer 🤷🎄
Almost there, carpets have been laid and walls painted. Extended the dado rail up here and definitely looks better for it. Also went dark with Farrow and Ball Railings on the base of the walls and the bannister handrail, brings out the detail of the woodwork better and ties everything together.
The tree is up, garlands have successfully been draped on the fireplaces and a wreath has been hung on the door. MAGICAL ✨
I made this very wreath myself at one of the @bloomprojectleicester workshops and it was so much fun! Unfortunately the front of the house is no where near wreath worthy 🙈 so I’ve hung it inside instead and I think it looks delightful against our yellow door! Even the Christmas grinch himself (Aka Chris) likes it 😂 swipe for a close up.
Another charity shop find, another shot of the bureau corner. Found this lovely standard lamp in my local charity shop, chucked the mingling shade away and replaced it with a @johnlewisandpartners Jenny velvet lampshade
Last week we finally affixed Mike’s grandad’s (possibly circa 1940s) French bamboo fishing rod to the dining room wall. Long overdue - been in storage for years and years - but it deserved the perfect setting, don’t you think?
Ich will euch gerne einen sneak peak unseres zukünftigen Esszimmers geben, ohne zu viel Preis zu geben... Soviel schonmal, ich lieeeeebe es jetzt schon!
I want to give you a little sneak peak of our future dining room without showing to much of it... But, I love love love it already! Also, I see you, @calling_allcreators as the godmother of dark walls, thank you for the inspo!
Every time I move it always takes a while before I start hanging art on the walls. I have officially hung my first piece. Over my doorway where she has always been since I got her, watching over me. #mexicanart#newplace#darkwalls
Dark chalkboard walls bring serious drama...and are an easy place to keep track of your grocery list or family calendar. Perfect for a kitchen or mud room hallway. #chalkboardwall#kitchendecor#darkwalls
Yay Saturday!!! The kids are with mom today so the hubs and I are doing date night tonight (or Christmas shopping... what ever you want to call it, I’m sticking with date night😂) . Also hoping to get in some studio time this afternoon . It feels like Ages since I have had good painting time. But then again thinking some down time is needed for that good old blood pressure, (to many things to fit in one day🤔😂) I’m gonna hurry up so I can relax before hustle and bustle of shopping 🤦🏻♀️ But a bath is one of the best ways for me to unwind de stress and relax. If I had time I’d take one every day😍 Hmmm 🤔 stocking stuffer idea for my family would be bath products 😂💕💕 . . .
Sometimes I spend ages getting the right angle for a nice photo - sometimes I point and snap. Today is definitely one of the latter. Tonight the Christmas candles are lit, the takeaway is on order and the pyjamas are on - Friday night done right. . . Day 6: #highup
Last night was so lovely, I adore sharing my home with people. It’s even better when we’re doing something creative, with cocktails and Christmas songs. Also so happy with how this little area came out with the dark walls against the light living room, feels like such a cosy little nook. Part of me wants to keep the living area in here.
Heading to a consult today and I can’t stop thinking about this bedroom as inspiration. Love the moody vibe of the walls with the clean lines and pop of color on the bed. We’ll see! #larsenbeckettdesigns
