Datsun 240z --- The japanese Porsche of the 70s
The 80s where times for straight lines and simple geometries, however, as always the japanese are almost a decade ahead in design, always aiming for the "futuristic" look.
Every japanese car of that era always resembles a famous character of the japanese ancestors: the samurai. This datsun is a great example of it, admire the simple and minimalistic lines of the japanese samurais, straight some times but with a distinct overall shape "shoe looking" and proportions which gives it an extra point of personality. Something quite typical also is the center line which divides the car in two perfectly symetric parts such as the old japanese houses and constructions . The front bumper's grill makes the car look animated but serious, rational, and very fine calculated, prepared to do what it was ment for as perfect as possible. . . The rear bumper is also a quite characteristic style of the japanese, the rear lights looking like boxes inside the rear bumper and trunk, and merged with the chrome metall, placed perfectly with order and calculated dimensions, just like the interiors of japanese old homes.
