ENNÄTYS. Vielä toisen sarjan jälkeen tuntui siltä että ei vedoista tule tänään mitään. Sitten otettiin niskasta kiinni ja puskettiin ensin 4x210 ja sen jälkeen vielä 5x210. My @beargrips deadlift straps arrived yesterday so they got their first outing this morning for deadlift day... absolute game changer, came SO close to setting a new PB and hitting my target a few weeks early but not quite which I’m still grumpy about.... in the words of Barney Gumble “Don’t cry for me, I’m already dead” 😂 #deadliftday

Back focused deads. Going off a block takes some of the legs out and using a wide/snatch grip places greater stress on your back musculature. 3x6 @140kg. Followed this up with some SSB lunges, these really smash the 🍑

I ended up making a last minute change and instead of starting a refeed in week 16, I continued with my cut. After the last 2 weekends in row of an increased cheat meal and slightly increased calories on Saturday and Sunday there was some expected weight gain...according to the scale. While I have added back 5.5 pounds over the past 2 weeks, I am not bloated nor has my waste increased. I do have a "fuller" look though while still staying lean and I'll take it!

16 weeks of cutting will deplete you for sure and it was becoming pretty obvious, so this "weight gain" is actually welcomed and needed. I will be getting my meal plan for the next 2 weeks from @teamarmor
The 2 week refeed will start Monday... That will take me through July and leave me about 6 weeks before the Olympia (usually my vacation week) for possible continued lean gaining and a mini cut. I'll be working on a plan with Johnathan after the refeed is done. .

Tuesday - Shoulders
Wednesday - Legs
Thursday - Chest
Friday - Bi's & Tri's
Saturday - Deads, Shoulders, Bi's & Tri's
Core was hit in all sessions with crunches (1), leg raises(3) and twists(3).

Huge Saturday, headed to the gym right from work and by the end of the workout I was gassed. Started off with 4 sets of deadlift, every with these sets went smooth. I’ve tweaked my set up a little bit, moved my feet closer together and my hands slightly out more. I really want to focus on not having my shoulders rolled down and over the bar before I pull, but sometimes today that happened, which I gotta fix. After the sets I got to accessory work, the deficit pulls were nice and flew well. The block pulls on the other hand, not so much. I was pretty gassed once I got here and ended up having to drop the weight significantly, I was planning on getting up to 470 and ended up only doing 390,315,340. After deadlift shoulders it is. Shoulders today was nice and everything went well. Some notes about that:
Front raises are done 2 sets overhand and 1 set underhand.
Cable Lateral Raises, 2 sets pulling in front of your body and 1 set behind.
Rear Delts Flyes 1 set forehead level straight out, 1 set chin level pulling down, 1 set nose pulling straight out.
Back Flyes, first 6 reps done hand facing in, last 6 reps done knuckles facing out in front.
Machine shoulder press: all 3 sets done with neutral grip.
Upright rows: first 5 reps done alternating arms and last 5 reps done together.
All together a great day, got gassed but finished grinding. I’m off for Sunday and then next week I’m only lifting 3 days because I’m taking a trip with my girlfriend over the weekend till the following Monday after. Conventional DL has been a weak link in my arsenal!Had managed to pull only a meagre 180kg till date.

But today was different. The time for testing 1 RM was due. Sumo was the preferred way to go but me being me decided to go the hard way.

Ended up pulling an impressive 215kgs this time. Finally my squat and DL are at par now.
