Huge Saturday, headed to the gym right from work and by the end of the workout I was gassed. Started off with 4 sets of deadlift, every with these sets went smooth. I’ve tweaked my set up a little bit, moved my feet closer together and my hands slightly out more. I really want to focus on not having my shoulders rolled down and over the bar before I pull, but sometimes today that happened, which I gotta fix. After the sets I got to accessory work, the deficit pulls were nice and flew well. The block pulls on the other hand, not so much. I was pretty gassed once I got here and ended up having to drop the weight significantly, I was planning on getting up to 470 and ended up only doing 390,315,340. After deadlift shoulders it is. Shoulders today was nice and everything went well. Some notes about that:
Front raises are done 2 sets overhand and 1 set underhand.
Cable Lateral Raises, 2 sets pulling in front of your body and 1 set behind.
Rear Delts Flyes 1 set forehead level straight out, 1 set chin level pulling down, 1 set nose pulling straight out.
Back Flyes, first 6 reps done hand facing in, last 6 reps done knuckles facing out in front.
Machine shoulder press: all 3 sets done with neutral grip.
Upright rows: first 5 reps done alternating arms and last 5 reps done together.
All together a great day, got gassed but finished grinding. I’m off for Sunday and then next week I’m only lifting 3 days because I’m taking a trip with my girlfriend over the weekend till the following Monday after.
