• Next offseason recap is for the #DallasMavericks! Gonna be honest, this took me quite a while to make, didn’t realize they had quite the busy offseason!
It’s hard to judge the Mavericks on who they draft, as they haven’t really played any NBA minutes yet, but I do believe the trade for #LukaDoncic is a good one, and that if all goes well, he can be a star. The rest of the draftees are second-rounders, so if they can be role players or anything better than that, it’ll be a score. While #JalenBrunson struggled in SL, it seems that he can still be a nice shooter and fills in a PG role. #RaySpalding and #KostasAntetokounmpo performed well in SL, and while they may be prospects that take time to develop, the Mavs have time to wait for that to happen.
The Mavs continued their offseason by adding #DeAndreJordan on a one-year deal, so it’s a win-win for the both of them. #DevinHarris coming back after being traded is also a plus, as he’s a great veteran presence.
Re-signing their legend #DirkNowitzki on a cheap deal would always be a plus. And although #SalahMejri isn’t the best backup big, it was on an extremely cheap deal, so there’s no loss there.
Though the Mavs failed to improve the backup SF or C spot, the Mavs also managed to find four young prospects in the draft and signed the right guys to not only make a playoff push now, but to also develop their guys for the future. Overall, a great win.
