My workout had me feeling some kinda a way this morning 🏋🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️

I didn’t express it at all in my stories, but I wanted to give up during the last round of cardio. Life has been hard recently and I just wanted to stop, give up, and move on. But during those dreaded last moves I thought what would my Dad think. Giving up on the last two moves and I couldn’t finish?? FAILURE. .
.
I’ve done this workout before, I’ve done these moves before, but something about today screamed quit. BUT I DID THE HARD SHIT ANYWAY. I finished and felt so proud. I teared up afterwards because I pushed past my limits. I pushed past those fears and won. I dedicated that last round to the man that told us to never give up. .
.
Cardio is still tough for me, but proving myself that I CAN has been my favorite thing on this journey ♥️♥️♥️

Got in a quick workout at mum and dads this morning out by the herb garden! Still not back into the swing of things fully with my workouts but I’m still getting something done most days! They just seem to be much less intense and less energetic than usual and I can’t find my mojo! 😫 I know it will come back eventually but in the meantime I am just trying to stay dedicated and keep moving my body!

During this road trip, we discussed how important dedication is to reach your goals. Motivation is great to have, but damn is unreliable at times (lots of times). The journey is an emotional rollercoaster. You’re not going to be happy sweating it out in the gym/home/outdoors every time and it’s okay!! When those moments come... ask yourself, how dedicated are you?

Being motivated when it’s so cold and rainy outside is not easy. I am relying on dedication rather than motivation at the moment to get me through my training sessions and it’s a constant battle. My situation has also changed recently and I am back to training alone in my home gym which also makes it much harder to stay on track and push yourself! Need to get back on here and keep myself accountable again!

Going to the gym is a huge part of my life, I love working out and and miss it and feel a bit guilty if I don’t go.... Now that’s not to say by not going to the gym you should feel guilty because you shouldn’t at all.. that’s just me. •

I have a very varied fitness regime from classes, to “Wednesday run club” with my cousin, to PT sessions, to bootcamp. I like to do a bit of everything to keep me motivated. But motivation is not all the keeps me going. Motivation fades in and out for everyone, so I like to look at it as being dedicated. I am dedicated to work out and dedicated to be the best version of me and I will be! •

I have no qualifications in food or fitness but I just want to share my journey with you, the ups and the downs and hopefully help inspire and motivate you and teach you a few tips and tricks on the way 😘❤️

MOTIVATION vs. DEDICATION

I get asked all the time how I stay so motivated to always get to the gym and hit my macros. I try to answer this but in all honesty I’m NOT motivated all the time to do these things 🙅‍♀️. I don’t wake up every day motivated to get my lift in, motivated to do my cardio, motivated to stick to my macros when my boyfriend is eating icecream next to me and I haven’t fit that in for the day🙄.

So how do I stay on track all of the time? Because of DEDICATION. I’m dedicated to my goals. I’m dedicated to my “why” behind these goals. It’s that dedication, that WANT, that gets me to the gym the days I don’t want to go. That keeps me on track with my nutrition. That keeps me on track with going after my goals. There’s a difference between dedication and motivation.

No one on this planet wakes up motivated every single day to do these things. And if they say they do they’re lying to you. If you truly, and I mean TRULY, want something you’ll find a way to get it done.

So next time you find yourself continually slipping up with something ask yourself this: Do you truly WANT it?

Fresh home from camping and I was dirty, stinky, and had a tummy full of campfire cooking deliciousness, but I was determined to get my session done before we sat down to relax! So it was a quick unpack of the caravan and the car, Parkes in bed then straight out to the barn for some sumo deadlifts, deadlifts and lunging! Love the feeling of getting it done!

I cannot tell you how hard it is for me on gloomy, foggy, cold, wintery days like this for me to be motivated and get out of my pjs and bundle up the little fella and go outside to walk! BUT- I hate the feeling of being lazy and doing nothing and my body neeeeeds exercise! #dedicationvsmotivation
I never regret it once it's done. I don't even regret that I had to listen to P whinge the ENTIRE time 🙄😕...ok maybe a little! I cut the walk a bit short and came home to do my #100burpees while he played happily with his toys. Win/win

Taking consecutive rest days can go 1 or 2 ways for me.
The first is that I'm super excited and have a fire in my belly to get back in the gym and train.
Or the second is that I feel super lazy and demotivated and don't want to train. The latter is me today 😫 ...and here are the reasons why:
When I'm not training, I slack off on my diet aswell and I eat foods that aren't fuelling my body. In turn this makes me feel lethargic and slow the next day because my body doesn't have what it needs to give me energy.
Case in point: eating hot chips in the car on the way home from camping yesterday. That was a shocking food choice and I knew it at the time too but I still ate them 😡
Nevertheless, I got it done, and I am glad that I did
