This pic is very important to me. I chose this place to put the #120db Sticker, because it's close to the train station of the small city where I'm living here in #Germany. Many people would see it, especially young women, I thought. For those who dont know the project #120db is about warning people about imported violence. Violence mostly caused by muslim migrants coming from a misogynistic rooted culture. I used to feel very safe here, I barely saw some police cars in the streets, because well... crime here is not so common. Violent acts committed in the daylight? Public harassment of women on the streets? Pfff, here is the countryside of Germany, right? Those things doesn't happens here... I used to think like that too, but...
Yesterday, at this same point, at 17:30, I was coming home with my 5 years old Host child, we were biking calmly until we passed through the Tunnel under the trainline. I used to pass alone there almost everyday, but yesterday there were 3 cowards waiting for us. The 3 men tried to call my attention, calling me names as "Schlamp" (bitch), "süsse", with their arabic accent. I ignored and kept going until they stopped the bike of my Host kid and holded her by the arms. She naturally started to cry. I cameback with my Bike and said clearly to them to let her go. They did it, pushing her bike with violence towards mine. I tried to calm down and said to her everything was fine, but it wasn't. They kept following us, running, laughing. In the end of the Tunnel, one of them, jumped on my side and took my bag from the back of my bike. All my documents were there.
After that I did something I should have done since the beggining, I started to scream and call other people's attention. A couple nearby heard it and started approaching us. The guy with my bag, just dropped it on the floor and walked away as if he did nothing. My Host kid was completely terrified. The couple asked what happened and I explained and naturally the woman asked to me "were they refugees, right?" And I just nodded. She knows too. Everybody knows about the problem happening here, but not so many people have the guts to say it out loud.
