Howdy y’all! It’s been awhile since I’ve used this account, so here’s a brief low-down! •
My name is Magdalena and I initially started my food insta in college. I wanted to showcase my love for delicious and nutritious food. Now, I resurface with an added love for yoga, which continues to fuel my passion for mental, physical & spiritual health and well-being.
In an attempt to keep my personal account personal, and not flooded with “I’m teaching a yoga class today”, or “look at my progress!”, I come here. Now...- little more about the handle, and me!: •
🌱 Spirulina was my ‘gateway superfood’, about 4 years ago, and since then I have only broadened my superfood horizons. I love to cook, and I love to eat, and recently have been doing lots of both! If food were a love language, it would 100% be mine. Here’s just another way for me to share this with others! •
🌱 I am what you might call “vegan-ish”, or as some sticklers point out, merely “plant based”. 99% or the time, I cook & eat vegan. I’m vegan for mostly environmental and sustainability purposes. I’m lactose intolerant, so don’t dabble with the dairy, but while living in Alaska, I ate fish and locally foraged mushrooms (which, considering a carbon footprint, is much lesser than buying kale from Safeway). If from a local farm, I might eat eggs, but have only recently when my body craves them. My journey with both food and yoga have seriously flourished once I’ve practiced actively listening to my body. If it needs protein, in egg form, then so be it! No food/body shaming here 🤗 •
🧘🏽♀️ A sadhaka is a yogi aspirant. And golly gee do I love a good alliteration! I’ve realized (with some inspiration from my yoga mentors/teachers around me), that I can really only aspire to be great in yoga. My journey has recently begun, and I come from a place of humility, and eagerness to grow. Therefore, I aspire to one day be great. •
🧘🏽♀️ I recently finished my 250 hr YTT (Vinyasa/Flow) in Santa Barbara with @evolationyoga. I am so eager to continue to dive into this world of practicing, teaching, and learning 🤗 ☀️ If you’ve made it this far, thank you! In love and light 🕉
