I’ve been baking today for the school fate, but a slight twist to my usual flap jack recipe as I used gluten free ingredients so that a friend with coeliac diseases didn’t have to miss out!
The ingredients also included marg, golden syrup and sugar!
I just substituted the gluten free versions for the gluten containing versions and it worked!
What are your tips for gluten free baking? Do you just substitute for the gluten free versions or do you have to change the recipe?
We’ve been busy this morning baking pizza swirls! Finding time for baking with two little ones is often a challenge - so we took the opportunity of my youngest having a surprisingly long lie to have some baking fun!

This is our first Halloween where we get to take our little guy trick or treating #Smallbite is a superhero, while Mom and Dad are nailing their costumes - Mom and Dad (So I dropped the ball on our costumes this year, whoops! First time ever!)
While we’re excited to see all the little ones in costume, the reality is that my son and I can’t eat the candy passed out...so I made treats we can bring with and share with our friends.
Enter these sweet little Paleo Pumpkin Spice “Donuts” a la @texanerin Delish! I used regular sized muffin tins and the recipe made 15 donuts. I also let them bake an extra 10 mins to firm up. When I make them next, I’ll leave out 2 tbsp of coconut oil because while very moist, they are a little oily for me.

You can't beat homemade passionfruit muffins in the sunshine When my daughter requested our grandmother's recipe I thought I'd rise to the occasion. I'm a whisk taker so I doubled the passionfruit to replace the caster sugar. Look out for the recipe on my new website which is coming soon
