Can you spot the difference?
No? Neither can we!
The bottom image is of StarJewel, a large glitter material which we developed back in 2007 for use on a paper sub-strate.
At the time it was greeted with over-whelming acclaim but since 2007 the world, science, technology as well as our understanding of environmental issues and the legacy we leave for our children and future generations has moved on. StarJewel sadly, made from PVC and PET films, is not recyclable. Not only does it have to be dealt with separately from your other house-hold and commercial waste, it ends up in landfill and plastic micro-particles such as those used in StarJewel have since been shown to end up in our oceans both adding to pollution and finding its way into the food chain.
This is not the legacy which was either intended or envisaged back in 2007. Therefore, whilst StarJewel is still a commercial success, we have been working to develop an ethical, environmentally friendly alternative at a price point which offers an encouragement to use over conventional plastic glitter products.
Now…look at the image on the top. We call this Bio-Spar*kl.
It looks exactly the same doesn’t it? The difference is that Bio-Spar*kl is made from a blend of organic and sustainable materials all of which are bio-degradable and compostable.
What does this mean to you then?
Coming soon in 2019 you will have an environmentally friendly, guilt-free, easy to use and cost effective alternative when choosing your glitter material.
What’s NOT to like about that?
