My first experience with Dominique Ansel's work was when I studied abroad at London. You can estimate my joy when he recently opened up in LA. (One more reason to claim west coast superiority bahaha though I know New York has 2 locations). Signature items that you must get are the cronut (crossiant and donut hybrid though I'd say it's more crossiant than donut) and the DKA (Dominique's Kouign Amann, not Diabetic KetoAcidosis). The cronut switches flavors every month and only 350 are sold per day so get there early because it sells out by 5pm!
vanilla milk, yum! cookies, yum! vanilla milk in a cookie cup, umm YES YUM! my kind of shots!!
My answer is always 'yes' when asked if I want s'more sweets. Would you be able to say no to these frozen s'mores from @dominiqueansella ?
When your mani matches your Cronut. @dominiqueansella’s Raspberry Toasted Oat flavor for May is probably the best one I’ve had. is @opi Bubble Bath gel (by @polished_dtla). I don’t know how @dominiqueansel does these cross sections because this was hard AF.
Have you ever made a homemade cronut? It's super easy thanks to puff pastry check out the recipe link in my profile to see the how-to video
A big thank you to @dominiqueansellondon for having me. I genuinely had a really great time and was very well treated! The flower display was absolutely beautiful so definitely check it out while it's still there! Don't forget to check out their new watermelon ice cream!
Sharing with you another one of my favourite places in London: @dominiqueansellondon Bakery in Belgravia a stone's throw away from @peggyporschenofficial - closest stationVictoria. If you don't know @dominiqueansel was voted the World's best pastry chef in 2017 by the World's 50 Best Restaurant Awards @theworlds50best . It's a lovely quiet spot depending on the time of day you go and there's an closed garden area where you can sit and enjoy your food. They have an extensive menu comprising of sweet and savoury dishes complimented with hot and cold beverages. Obviously, I'm always there for the sweet...he's the World's best pastry chef after all...and I kid you not his macarons are the best I've ever tasted, they just melt in your mouth. The desserts all look like they've come out of a Michelin star restaurant, beautifully made and taste even better (costing no more than £6-8 each, the macarons are £2 each. There's a lightness to everything that allows you to consume more than you usually would. He's also the creator of the Cronut (the famous doughnut-crossiant hybrid) and the Cookie Shot - cookie dough shaped into a shot glass, then filled with milk to be eaten on the spot. It's a nice little spot for some afternoon tea or a catch up with friends...and a blogger haven with a flower wall in the enclosed garden. I'll share photos of things I've tried from the menu soon but if you do stop by make sure you try the Macarons and the Liquid Caramel Peanut Butter Mousse Cake, it's a London exclusive and good Lord it makes me weep tears of joy.
