$10,000 RAISED FOR OUR LOCAL VOLUNTEER FIRE FIGHTERS!
After a couple of big events involving the community, including an amazing Quiz Night in March this year, and contributions made by staff and local businesses, we were so pleased to finally get to the day of presentation! So on Friday the 13th October at the Emergency Service Volunteers Recognition Sundowner, held at the Yallingup Rural Bush Fire Brigades Fire Shed, Acton South West Director Steve Papadopoulos proudly presented the $10,000.00 to the WA Volunteer Fire & Rescue Services Association for the WA Emergency Services Volunteers Hardship Assistance Scheme (as allocated by the firies!). A BIG WELL DONE to all Acton South West staff, friends, family, clients and the Busselton, Dunsborough, Margaret River, Bunbury and surrounds communities – that’s a huge effort in less than 12 months and has topped last year’s fundraising efforts just like we had hoped!
This is an amazing and worthy cause that we feel very passionate about and we look forward to ramping up our fundraising efforts again for 2018!
