A little PSA from Harper and I!
So, we all know Christmas is coming up in just a few more weeks and I want to say that this is the time of year when people get a lot of pets... Now, some people may have planned and planned and done so much research that their heads almost fall off! But some people sadly do not do that at all. When you are thinking of getting a new puppy or kitten or hell, even a hamsters for your child or family for Christmas, remember that those pets are now your child. Your responsibility. Not just for Christmas, but forever. I see a lot of people buy or adopt pets with no second thought and no research or thought before doing so and we end up with homeless pets, returned pets or even dead ones. Yes, dead ones. That happens. So if you are thinking about getting someone a cute little furr baby for Christmas because you want to see and record their cute reactions to a cute pet, then cool but don't forget that those pets need care, time, love, money, food, play, exercise and more. They cost a lot. They eat a lot. They need to exercise, they need to play. So when you start to get mad because the new pet is sick and is taking all your money, remember that it was you who got that pet. It's your responsibility. Help it. And when you get tired of constantly playing or having to take it outside for walks, remember that you got it and it's your responsibility. Exercise it. Pets aren't just for Christmas. They are for life. However long theirs may be. Adopt, buy, rescue. Whatever it is, do it right. #rescuedog#rescuepets#catadoption#petrats#acd#catttledog#petsareforlife#petsarentforxmas#christmaspup#dontdumpdogs#dontdumppets#dontbestupid
