Yesterday was my daughters 11th birthday, which inspired me to share a part of our story with you because it’s a big part of Metanoia. I had my girl when I was 21 & for the first 8 years, it was pretty much me & her. Our first home was a little one bedroom apartment & I took the couch. Providing a good life for her was something that I took super seriously; I was fortunate enough to advance my career over a decade & proudly worked as a Director in one of the nations top financial planning firms. When she was young, I found the beauty of intentionally moving my body during a personal sad point in my life. I ran the San Diego Marathon & fell in love with how I felt inside & wished inside I could make it a career. Life happened - work became increasingly demanding, I was away from her way more than comfortable, & I reached what I call my tipping point. I chose to follow faith & my heart. I said goodbye to my career & took several months to reconnect with her while pursuing my new profession. Metanoia means ‘the journey of changing one’s mind, heart, self, or way of life.’ It’s why I chose the word. I’ve been on a journey to become the best mom, partner, woman, earth dweller, & really just Jenny over the past several years. I’m proud of all that I am. I got there through time, lots of sweaty workouts that give me clarity, reconnecting, gardening, loving on our homestead animals and so much more. This is Metanoia. It’s the message I wish to spread & what I’m destined for. If we slow down, choose love, choose faith, choose purity - beautiful things happen. We find our true selves. Happiness. Health. Beauty... Yes, I specialize in Women’s Fitness & Nutrition as a personal trainer and nutrition specialist - but Metanoia is so much more than that. Here’s to chasing and becoming the you you’re destined to be.
